Special Edition: Chelsea Art World: Resilient Recovery (3 November 2012)
On Friday, November 2 at 3pm, I visited Chelsea galleries and the Meatpacking District and documented the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
Chelsea was a ghost town except for gallerists, their staff and clean up crews, working 24/7 to recover what they could and restore their demolished spaces back into the pristine galleries that showcase the world's leading contemporary art scene.
Our hearts go out to all of the victims of Hurricane Sandy and we send our best wishes to our colleagues in Chelsea during this period of rebuilding.
